Allen County, OH (WIMA) -- The BlanchardRiver in Findlay crested in the moderate flood stage over the weekend- at nearly 12.2 feet early Sunday morning.
The river dropped back below flood stage late last night.
While moderate flooding isn’t expected to do much damage, several roads in low-lying areas near the river are closed.
Downstream in Ottawa the river is high.. The Blanchard is at nearly 25-and-a-half feet. It’s expected to be a slow drain in Ottawa, not dropping back below flood stage until early Wednesday morning.
In PutnamCounty the AuglaizeRiver is also in flood stage, having crested the moderate flood stage at 17.4 feet Sunday morning.
The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight.
